Exactly. A old Oscar who was nothing but a part time fighter by the time Floyd fought him was still the A side. He was no longer on any bodies p4p lists already knocked out by bhop meanwhile Floyd was undefeated the undisputed number 1 p4p fighter in the world yet he couldn't get that fight unless he agreed to all the A side demands because still at the end of his career Oscar was the bigger draw. Floyd played B side role to make the fight right away. gave Oscar the weight the lion share of the purse fought on his date, etc. Took less for the chance at a big fight, big exposure and all the spoils of war if he won. It paid off and he was able to make all the A side demands himself the rest of his career.Lol no
Canelo is the biggest name in boxing rn aside Pac...
He is the obvious A side against anyone except Pac...
More people buy Canelo's fights so he is the A side not Golovkin. It's as simple as that.
Being A or B side isn't depend on formal things like who's the champion and it also doesn't depen on your personal like or dislike toward the two fighters.
I swear sometimes I think the majority of posters here aren't more than 18 years old
Floyd could of pulled a GGG and risked not getting the fight becsuse he foolishly tried to dictate terms to Oscar and waited a year or more hoping Oscar agrees to drop weight or give more money. Floyd had bigger balls and more brains then GGG. GGG will be damn near 40 before he figures out his place and that no matter when this fight takes place he will be the B side.Comment

Born in America didn't make Kelly Pavlik into a superstar, and he was better than GGG...and much younger.GGG is really one of the biggest underachievers in boxing and its sad because if he was born in America he'd be one of the best faces in sports and if he fought everybody instead of camping out at that god awful division he'd be one of the best in the business, not to say that he isn't now.....but he's an underachiever of the highest order.
If anything
The reason GGG is a star is because he's not American

Why should GGG take a risk when he gets his balls coddled for doing nothing?Exactly. A old Oscar who was nothing but a part time fighter by the time Floyd fought him was still the A side. His fans are enabling his cowardly behavior.
There is a certain demographic that accepts gutless behavior from certain fighters.Comment

You're more of a Goblin than a TrollGGG is the champ so he is the A side. It doesn't matter much. Unless the A side and the B side agree to terms and sign contracts there is no fight. Golden Boy doesn't want this fight to happen so it won't happen unless GGG shows signs of slowing down to the point that they think Canelo has a good chance to win or at least put up a good fight.
Money talks fool.
Canelo has the financial leverage.
He's the star with the biggest fan base and better PPV #'sComment
