Comments Thread For: Kovalev's Coach: No Surprise if Andre Ward Avoids Knockout Loss

Although trainer John David Jackson is picking his fighter, IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26KOs), to knock Andre Ward out - the veteran coach would not be surprised if the Olympic gold medal winner went the full distance.

Yea, seriously. It's all pretty meaningless too. I hope he doesn't believe half the stuff he's saying and realizes that this challenge is leagues above anything Kovalev has known.
I'd like to see both guys at their very best.

yeah, i know lots of people think ward wont go the 12 but i think hes a better fighter than given credit for. Think wards crafty and defensive enough to go the full distance, although he wont win i dont think he will get knocked out like most do.

????? Most don't think that Ward will get knocked out. Also many credit him as one of the best pound-for-pound in boxing. I think that everyone is split down the middle on who will win . Maybe you could say that the ones that think that he will get knocked out do not give him as much credit as he deserves.

I agree, I don't want the ref to play favors and if it goes 12, the judges get it right.
