The whole sport has clearly gone downhill this year, the guy that was supposed to carry the torch (Canelo) keeps disappointing the fans, and the rest aren't active enough or don't have the character to be superstars that can bring money to boxing so that the best fights can happen.

Boxing period isn't the same.

There will be another mayweather just not for another 10 years or so

Pretty much this... Ive been saying for the past two years that the sport would suffer once Mayweather retires. Watching some of these fans hype up Golovkin as the next new star is like watching people try to throw a party and no one wants to go.

When Floyd fought, the eyes of the sports world were on boxing twice a year. I don't give a damn about UFC and I hate seeing it get more attention than boxing. But they told us Floyd was bad for the sport. They rushed him out the door. They couldn't wait for him to leave so they could push two other fighters down our throats. They said they would save boxing and undo the damage Floyd did to the sport. It took less than a year and these two clowns have disgraced the sport. Now they find themselves making excuses for these two. They lied to a lot of boxing fans and now they're being exposed for the bought and paid for media members they are and have always been.

You aren't wrong. Canelo is stinking up the Mexican holidays with his choices & the lack of any f#cks given for these fights. I mean even if you hated Mayweather or thought he was cherry picking he had your interest. No one gives a f#ck about Liam Smith. And the Khan fight was more like a Mayan human sacrifice event than a boxing match.
