He is skilled but way overrated. Hasn't been in a serious fight in 4 years, since he beat Estrada in 2012.. The caudras fight is legit but the first one on 4 years.. Yet fanboys hype him to be p4p #1 or even top 3, even though they blast Ward for not fighting anyone the past 4 years.. Another reason why boxing has the most absolute ******est fans of any sport

Blatant lie. He moved up to 112 beating the lineal champion Akira Yaegashi who just became world champion once again in 2015 and just made a successful defense -- this is typical of RG opponents they continue to win world titles long after he dominates. You been hating of Roman Gonzalez for some time now despite being checked by other posters for your ignorance.

Yaegashi isn't that good,,, decent fighter but basically a paper champ and no better than a peterson, alexander, ghost, lucas...

Take a look at roman's resume from his 2012 win over Estrada,, it's littered with old faded names or never has-beens.. Cuadras is his first legit threatening opponent since the first Estrada fight..

You probably blast danny Garcia, yet he has wins over lucas, khan, peterson, ghost, since 2012, all of which are better than yeagashi..

Honestly, Even if yaegashi is legit.... That's one guy in 4 years,,, tell me all he other big fights roman has fought...... Nothing but old faded names and never has-beens.

Lmao, Name the big fights,,, show how I'm lying,,

Sad you hating on a 'little' man that has stepped up and been the example for the 'Bigger Stars'...hes put on more weight than everyone else ( except for Andre Ward ) climbing divisions seeking to become great consistently for the last decade not just three years ago like most of these new arrivals in the P4P rankings...basically he embodies what the sport should be. He been owning the critics for years now ; they said a flyweight would never become P4P they said he would never main-event HBO and would be relegated to GGG undercards for the remainder of this professional career...yet next week hes the marquee -- the headliner , show stopper! four weight champion becoming #1. in two divisions holding the Flyweight title and JRBantam weight title at the same damn time!!! but you got to be ignorant not to appreciate whats going on.

So lineal champion is not good? and even more of a futile attempt to save face is to ignore that he went on to become champion again after the loss....I been through this topic with you before and destroyed you not going to waste my time breaking down the rankings and whos who in the division...you want to just cut his carreer down to the last three years ( which still is impressive and even more so with another crown in four weights) but you cant ignore the other six or seven years either...we are talking about a decade of history. Im done.

Lmao,,, so lineal chamo means your great to you... So baldomir, buster, briggs, are all great fighters to you...

I'm not trying to cut his career down,,, just saying he gets way overrated for not doing anything post 2012.. While guys like Ward, rigo, danny get blasted for their inactivity and opponent selection, yet all have better wins over the past 4 years than roman does. Roman fought a guy with 29 losses less than 2 years ago,,, hasn't had a legit test since Estrada 4 years ago.. I never said he was a bad fighter, I give him all the props in the world, but the truth is all his best work was pre-2012... That is a fact
