The real reason boxing has gone to ****..

To many damn in house fights..you have to be with a certain promoter to get certain fights...its bull****....All fighters should be able to fight all other fighters without any obstacles..then on top of that you have the network issues....WTF????

Promoters and Networks have single handily ****ted all over the sport i love..people who never laced up or even owned a damn pair of gloves have done this....We sit on here and argue all damn day while they extort and use boxers and **** us as fans over and over an over again..

He was the one that presented himself as the savior saying he'd fight whomever wherever.

Now we have all these "business negotiations" with GGG and vice versa with GGG.

All these guys are replicating the same thing they criticized Mayweather over. But Floyd gave everyone the "fight once or twice a year" blueprint against the fighter that brings the most money.

The sport is heading down like the U.S economy in 2007

Yeah, don't forget Pacman. Same crap different skin tone. Both ruined boxing.

You hit the nail on the head, Larry. Too much politics and promotional BS impeding the fights fans want to see. Showtime doesnt like HBO. Haymon doesn't like Arum, who doesnt like Oscar, etc. Add to that, the number of sanctioning bodies that allow guys to duck the best in their division while still calling themselves 'champ'.

Part of the problem is that we as fans allow it to happen. Sometimes we get so caught up in being fans of a particular fighter that we dont want to see the erosion happening all around us. We still support 'our' fighter and give them a pass, rather than demanding that things change. As long as they can turn a profit while giving us a subpar product, they will continue to do so
