If you take the time to really understand weight in a fighter its easy to see how Kell can move up so easy , he aint going back is the price for that his body wont allow it .

147 for Kell is hard work but he does it and is at his peak of speed and power , GGG cannot make 147 , there is your real size elephant in the room , its easy for elite lighter weight athletes to gain like 20 lbs and still look really defined , but its wet weight , its not ripped like when they are at their best fighting weight .

We have a WW vs a MW thats real .

GGG's weight, to borrow a wrestling term is a "work". He's coming in dry for his prefight weighins. He's weighed in at 170lbs on fight night. He's trying to sell the fight and dismiss any size advantage. If he does actually show up on the night of at a "shoot" weight of only 160lbs it means hes trying to tempt Canelo or at least see if he'd be comfortable at a catchweight if that's what it takes to make the fight. It's smoke and mirrors until we see in ring weights if they even tell us. If he's less than usual it's all about Canelo.

Yeah the thing for Kell is that he hasn't been developed the best. Porter was his first real step up and you can see he's already improved from in despite his mediocre opposition after Porter.

It's funny you brought the fight up as I'm watching it right now. I didn't recall how little of an effect Porter's punches had on Brook....They were really hurting Thurman.

I think Brook is gonna show us some Leonardesque greatness.
I agree with you on all of that, Brook never got the attention that he deserved coming up. He had to fight his way to where he is. Also agree on Floyds reflexes and being able to get off shots being the deciding factor that let him beat faster guys to the punch.

Also, as to how little effect Porters punches had on Brook, and how easily he handled the fight, thats why I say he is the best Welterweight in the world right now. There is no question in my mind the he would manhandle Pacquiao at this stage of Pacquiao's decline, and the only fighter you could possible rate above him would be Thurman, and look how much more difficult the Porter fight was for Thurman than it was for Brook, and Brook has only gotten better.

Im still 50/50 on if he will show us anything, but I went from **** why are you fighting a welterweight GGG, to Well, this could possibly be a leonard hagler in the making.

I am assuming they will be doing the usual stage the fight super late in the UK so the US audience can watch it live, so the time difference wont be that big.

Do you think Brook would've manhandled Errol Spence Jr. at 147, if he didn't go up to 160?

Spence still has a lot of developing to do. In the near future he will certainly be able to thrash the likes of Thurman, but he is not there yet. By this time next year, he will probably be the best Welterweight in the world.

Dunno but incredible. Dem ivs doe. Now I see why most at welter didn't want to fight him. He likely came in a lot bigger than most welters.

I agree, by next year he will be the best welterweight in the world! But I think Spence Jr. would "thrash" Thurman, Garcia, Bradley and Pacquiao, TODAY! I thought Brook would be the toughest challenge this year, but I doubt we'll ever see that fight, now that Brook gained so much muscle for GGG.
