Who did better vs Geale: Golovkin or Cotto?

Both Golovkin and Cotto knocked Geale down and out early. Comparing their performances, the compubox numbers seem to slightly favor Cotto.

Stats for Golovkin vs Geale:

Stats for Cotto vs Geale:
Cotto landed 68 out of 183 (37% connect)
Geale landed 33 out of 127 (26%)

However, 2 things need to be taken into account:

2. Golovkin vs Geale had a 4-minute first round.

Agreed. Cotto boxed beautifully and took Geale apart. GGG bum rushed Geale and got hit a lot.

1) People seem to forget the huge headbutt that Cotto performed on Geale before Geale was KD from that left hook.
2) Geale moved up to 168 after being drained by Cotto at 157.

GGG got caught clean and countered.

Cotto is a product of competitive divisions while GGG is a product of a dead division.
