So there are amazing fights coming up at Cruiserweight.

Oleksandry Usyk (9-0) is challenging undefeated Cruiserweight Champion Krystoph Glowacki (26-0) in Glowackis backyard in Poland in 2 weeks, on September 17th.


Murat Gassiev (23-0) is challenging the other top Cruiserweight Champion in Denis Lebedev (26-2) later this year, the fight will be held in Lebedevs homecountry Russia.

Why is there basically no Hype here for these amazing fights?

Are these fights coming too early for Usyk who is only 9:0 in the pro ranks and Gassiev who is only 22 years old?

Lebedev has shown signs of aging and holes.. but Gassiev is very young and inexperienced. I think he may be in over his head. Shimmel was definitely outboxing him before getting KTFO a couple of mins later.. an old tricky horse like Lebedev shouldn't get caught like that.

Usyk-Glowacki should be a good fight. They're both around the same age and experience level.

I'm really looking forward to Glowacki Vs Usyk. I see it as a close fight, but i'm edging with Usyk.
I fancy Lebedev to beat Gassiev if that one does come about.

Great news just over a fortnight to wait for some competitive fight action, it'll make up for these shytty match ups we're being saturated with lately until we get Kovalev vs Ward.

These are two great fights in one of the best divisions in boxing. I still haven't seen Usyk fight live, but I believe that is a toss up between he and Glowacki. I'm fairly confident in Lebedev beating Gassiev. There's always a chance Gassiev lands a bomb and puts Lebedev out, but I expect Lebedev to easily outbox Gassiev and win a UD or late KO.

I have got:
Glowacki UD/late KO over Usyk - Usyk is green & this fight a little too early imo..

Lebedev UD over Gassiev - Lebedev is the best CW out there now..

Huck KO over McKenzie - Huck is still good enough for most top 5 & McKenzie isn't one of them..
