Exactly. Not only did both Floyd and Manny take more abuse while Canelo was basically unfazed by anything Cotto did. But this is more about the fighting style Cotto chose to implement against Canelo compared to that which he used against Pac and Floyd. He came forward and tried to attack both thinking he was the bigger stronger man. Against Canelo he knew he would be KNOCKED the F out if he chose that tactic so instead he came in lighter then he'd fought in any fight since 2011 because he planned to stay on his bike and try to outbox Canelo which he failed miserably at. Statistically having one of the worse offensive nights in his pro career in terms of output and percentage of landed punches. He literally missed 500 punches against Canelo and was backing up all night to stay out of range. He threw a career high jabs backing up on the move. And even after it was clear he couldn't win like this him or roach refused to switch up the gameplan because both were more content in surviving 12 rounds and losing the fight then brawling with Canelo to try and win but leaving yourself open to getting KO'd by Canelo.
