Nonito's career arc is why we see so much of the BS nowadays. No network wants to invest in a fighter and have it blow up poorly like this.

Stoked for Donaire – this should've happen years ago. :thumb1: Really hope he looks good out there and doesn't make it a difficult fight for himself... yet again.

Should have done this a long time ago. The Pinoys love both Nonito & Manny.

If Jesse comes in with one of his kamikaze attacks with no defense, he goes bye bye. If he boxes at his best, and shows a decent chin, it's anyone's fight. I don't see Jesse as being a huge underdog. I would make it a 60/40 fight with Donaire on the 60 side. It is a matter of youth vs experience, or it could be youth vs age where age finally catches up to Donaire. Reflexes aren't the same when a fighter gets older and Jesse has the youthful reflexes.

This dude got ruined by Rigo. But he is also the reason why Rigo is so overrated. So it's a double-edged sword, because Donaire was a never-has-been. He got criminally overrated the year he won FOTY and he was basically a hype job, which led to him getting a fight with Rigo, and Rigo outclassing the hype job, thus leading to another hype job.

basically Donaire is the creator of one of the biggest myths in recent boxing history, but you cannot fault him without faulting the HBO-Hype-Machine as well, they created this.

Rigo had a chance to be great, but he refused to fight Lomachenko. I'm sorry, but he robbed boxing fans and Lomachenko of an easy-work type of win on his resume that would of been "appreciated."

                  It's a cycle in boxing.
