OK that translates as beating his opponent to the punch most of the time, but raw speed? Not so much.

Will that still hold against Kovalev who can feint well and also has a talent for throwing some less predictable shots and inventive combos in there? Well, that's why they gotta fight, of course.
ward can whip that left hook in pretty quickly. could see him scoring a flash KD on kovalev with that punch

GGG fight Lara?? R u kidding... Canelo v Lara was a complete bore!! Lara ran frm Ginger all night...he would b in full sprint mode against Ggg!! Lara is a dull, boring fighter with zero fan appeal... Not even a draw headlining on pbc.

Entirely possible, though like I say I see it as timing more than speed. Actually Kovalev has shown some vulnerability to being caught with flash shots - certainly in his earlier fights - nearly got caught against Sillakh and there was someone else too .. hmmm ... can't remember now. Kovalevs rangy and uses movement well to control range, he's usually up on the balls of his feet (though less so recently) and can cover ground fast, but like most movers if he gets caught whilst he's off balance he could easily go down. Ward has the timing to do that. Maybe.

Yeah, ok mate, if you say so.

Yea, opponents like Wade, Monroe, Brook..... are definitely more winnable than fighters like Ward, Lara.

Which is why he fought Wade, Monroe, Brook..... and not Ward/Lara.

Boxing is all about styles, most experienced observers are well-aware of that.

lil'G is taking the fights he wants, just like everyone else..... and his faithful Defense Force is well-aware of that also..... regardless as to how ****** you guys pretend to be.

Did you re-watch Kovalev vs Hopkins fight? What happened in that fight each time Hopkins wanted to get inside?

It amuses me that you seem unaware that Ward watched that fight.

I know there are TV barriers and whatnot, but the fight itself is just as valid, if not more valid, than GGG vs. Brook, which many people are championing. Also, if GGG fights Lara, that would give him and Canelo a common opponent that could help force the fight. Like I said, I know there are TV barriers, but I would be interested in the fight itself.

And when they do that, their agenda becomes crystal-clear.

we refer to them as tards, but they may go by other names

Lara's manager Luis Decubas Jr says the fight can happen on HBO.

The industry speculation is that Al Haymon advises his clients to avoid fighting on HBO - but that theory has been debunked this year.

"You saw Amir Khan and Dominic Wade on HBO," said the manager. "Al Haymon does whatever is best for the client and not for him. We're not tied to anyone so the fight with Golovkin can happen at Showtime or HBO."
