If Canelo beats an old GGG years from now, should he get credit?

Lets say the fight doesn't happen next year. Instead it happens 3 years from now in 2019 after Golovkin clearly isn't quite the force he once was.

If Canelo then takes the fight and beats a faded 37 year old Golovkin, should Canelo get credit for the win? Will true boxing fans forget that Canelo gave up the belt in 2016?

the public will never forget Canelo ducked Gennady. They will remember Brook as a warrior and Canelo as a Fanny Pudenda.

It all depends on how much Golovkin has left and that's something none of us can predict. It helps that Golovkin hasn't taken any punishment.

Canelo is going to beat Golovkin. That's why they're setting him up to lose. Fool. That's why the fight is being delayed. Canelo is not being set up to take the L, he being set up for the W.

If GGG is still the best MW in the world then why shouldn't he?

If Canelo beats GGG then I will give him credit because doing so will really piss off the GGG towel boys.

True but no one beats father time, GGG already on the decline. After your early 30s a man's body naturally produces less testosterone.

Only if he knocks Golovkin out.

                    He didn't duck anybody.

Only a dummy expects Canelo to fight the so called top guy without getting acclimated to the new weight.

The B side tried to rush and dictate terms to the A side....it don't work that way...not even in mexico.
