He will have a hard time at cruiserweight. Between his size and the talent up there. The top guys are good. He will be giving up height, reach, and natural frame/weight. He is'nt exactly a speed demon now and you add another 15-20lbs on him. That would be a tall order.

Skill can only take you so far, the size difference between cruiser and lhw is MASSIVE. Ward already isn't a power puncher, they would literally walk face first in to him and barrage him with punches until something gives up whether that be his fist, forearms, shoulders, body and eventually his dopey looking face.
