Comments Thread For: Canelo: Golovkin-Brook? GGG Should Have Shut His Mouth!

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs) has ripped out at the upcoming fight which involves Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs). Back in May, Canelo fought welterweight contender Amir Khan at a catch-weight of 155-pounds. Khan moved up by eight pounds for the contest.

I agree that Golovkin is being somewhat a hypocrite but it's not his fault nobody wants to fight him. And Am I the only one who thinks that brooks got a chance? He's big and can box just as good as Golovkin he just won't have the same type of power.

"nobody wants to fight bumlovkin" the biggest myth in boxing!!! There are multiple 160 and 168 pounders he could fight but now he is a "business man"

Yes that is true, but he was planning on fighting in September already, and Canelo and Eubank stalled so there was a limited amount of time to negotiate with other fighters but then Brook took the fight in a heart beat same terms as Eubank.

I can't wait for that day that Canelo and GGG fight. The fight is really big already I don't know what the wait is about. Canelo fighting Golovkin after he beat Cotto would've been perfect time, but he waited and now his reputation is all types of messed up and everyone has forgot the good fighters he has faced and beat.

Exactly. Canelo I guess admits Khan was a sacrificial lamb, and he admits it was his choice not to fight GGG, but somehow that's all cool now because Eubank jr ducked GGG so he had to fight Brook instead who is 10 pounds heavier than him right now?

Yeah, that just shows how bad GGG is! He got exposed! Not Canelo for ducking. Not Canelo for the Khan fight. Not Team Eubank for messing up the GGG fight. GGG is the bad one! He's the coward! Yeah!

I thought Canelo didn't **** around? Because this entire "shift the blame" thing he's doing is the definition of ****ing around with the truth.

So because Eubank didn't sign Golovkin gets to pick on welters? Where's the line? Can Golovkin cherry pick Crawford next?
