The myth that Canelo is a small middleweight

    Get out

Dude has a head like a cinder block, he's got hands like ham hocks.

OK so he's a bit short but he's built like a brick outhouse.

    This dude is huge

When they weigh a boxer at the weigh in they don't just weigh his hands and his head. They weigh the whole boxer. Canelo fights under the exact same rules as everybody else and he has to make weight just like everybody else. He has no magic formula for gaining more weight after the weigh in than anybody else. His weight on fight night lately has been about 172 pounds not 185 as cry baby Khan and some other idiots have guessed his fight night weight at. 172 pounds is about what big Jr. middleweights and small to average middleweights usually weigh on fight night. As long as Canelo makes the contracted weight limit he has complied with the rules of boxing. If it's hard for him to make the weight that's his problem to deal with and nobody else should worry about it. Blame the current boxing rules and not the fighter who obeys them. If Canelo doesn't weigh in at 154 or less then he cannot wins Smith's world title.

He has never fought above 155. Not an ounce above 155. Try telling a full-fledged MW to make 155. Don't make new threads just because you dksab.

He's got a wide frame, absolutely.

However, he's 5'7'' and never fought above 155. A big MW can't make 155, it's really that simple.

This is true, that said he'll develop into a solid middle I believe.

they probably could if they were in their mid-20s and using diuretics

chavez jr managed to make 160 for a long time with this tactic
