Ward had promoter issues and couldnt fight.
He also just admitted he couldnt even make 168

On top of that GGG was chasing martinez for the lineal at 160. Martinez ducked

"SMH, Lil' G ducked Alvarez. If he wanted the fight, why didn't he step in the ring and fight him that night? He always wants things his way, that's why he can't land a fight."

I can't even type that out trying to be funny without feeling my brain cells die off.

Ward recently said himself that he can no longer make 168 and has a hard time even getting down to 175. What makes you think that he would magically make 168 had they agreed to fight this year? Ward couldn't even make 168 when he came back from his hiatus.
"Little G' turned down an official fight with us," Ward told the reporter. "The reality is for all the talk ... the proof is in the pudding. I have an email right now that shows we gave them what they want ... 50/50 ... and the man -- the promoter --turned it down, said maybe 2017."

And for every statement from Ward saying that GGG and his team turned down the fight, there's a statement from GGG's team saying the same. Its a big game of pointing fingers. If i'm not mistaken, the contents of that article took place after GGG had already signed to fight Lemiuex.

                  Lets stick to facts.

                  - There were no formal negotiations that took place for this fight. Just a bunch of back and forth talks thru the media.

                  - Wards team said that a fight with GGG will be possible for some time next year after Ward gets a few tuneups in.

                  - Ward came back from his 2yr layoff and started never fought at 168 again. He fought at 172 and is now a full fledge LHW who admitted himself that making 175 is quite a challenge.

Look, had GGG and Ward been even 1 weight class apart, I'm sure this fight would have been taking place VERY soon. The reality is, they're not. GGG is a MW ( a natural MW at that), while Ward is now a Natural LHW. In order to make this fight happen now, one fighter would have to sacrifice and be at a huge disadvantage. Not even interested in seeing it at this point.

Looking forward to Ward/Kov now and hopefully one of the other top MW's in the division finds their balls and steps into the ring with GGG after his fight with Brook.

                    2) lil'G promised that he would fight Ward at 168, and Canelo at 154.....
                    http://thaboxingvoice.com/golovkin-a...4/15398?var=no

                    3) lil'G totally refused to negotiate on the weight with the JMW A-side Canelo..... despite promising that he would, despite Canelo being his best possible payday, and despite losing all of that badly needed exposure and credibility.

If it quacks, then it is a duck.....

And what a tool you are, deciding to label Ward as a LHW..... you know that Ward was the SMW champion when they first started negotiating..... lil'G was willing to fight EVERYONE at 168 EXCEPT for Ward.

Wrong as usual. You think the reason for the GGG/ Canelo fight not happening this fall is because GGG apparently didn't agree to a 155 catchweight? Man, you are ****ing clueless as it gets.

It was GBoy who asked the fight to be 'pushed' back to 2017. Not K2

It was Oscar who just recently said "fight will happen in the future, not now"- Not K2

Golden Boy was not interested in conducting any negotiations with K2, much less any talk regarding catchweights. GB did not want the fight, plain and simple.

Not once have GB/ Canelo or GGG/K2 stated that the fight isn't happening this fall due to catchweight issues.

The facts are lil' g and company never wanted the fight...ward agreed to everything and Loeffler said "maybe early 2017 if you're still at 168" (hoping he won't be)

Loeffler said his emailed reply to Ward’s camp was that if Ward was still at 168 pounds in early 2017, Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout at that point.
