It is Hypocritical for Nelo too bring up Lara considering many people( me included) thought he lost that fight and refused a rematch.
At least Canelo took the challenge of fighting someone like Lara that's difficult and brings no money to the table.

This excuse that it's a hard fight to make has to stop. I work hard making the money I spend to watch and buy these fights god dammit

Stevens is a simple fight to make. Stop making the simple and easy fights to make and make a fight that'll require some hard work. Main Events just went thru hell to make a fight but it got made. Loeffler needs to stop making the simple and easy fights. The Canelo fight isn't going to be easy to make but I guarantee he'll make that fight and take whatever crumbs Canelo throws him.
I get it, all these guys think them vs Ggg is a mega fight and mega risk and they need to be compensated properly. Except the mega money isn't there, and these are really mismatches at the bookies. Some are more compelling, Jacobs has some power and is a likeable NYer, Saunders has a belt Ggg wants. Guys that bring nothing gotta be a bit more flexible, if they want it of course. IYO what's fair money for Lara?

i was gonna jump on canlo but what he said makes tons of sense. his focus is 154.......never fought at the actual weight of 160. so why are golovkin fans in a rage about him fighting at 154?

            Boxingscene article coming soon:

"Lara smiles: GGG calling out Canelo! Canelo won't fight him!"

Then it will come full circle. Smith calls out Canelo for ducking GGG. Canelo calls out GGG for ducking Lara (which is bull****). Lara calls out Canelo for ducking GGG. All these guys arguing over who is ducking GGG the worst. Boxing in 2016. What a joke.

But even back then Tom was saying no.

Yah they have their war boots on when it comes to Canoli but when it comes to ward they put on them shiny black tap shoes!

The second he loses his undefeated record (if he does) than he will fight all the names. But I feel they won't fight those threats while he is undefeated so that they can keep his mystique of being unbeatable alive.

But sure, GGG could fight Lara.High risk, low reward fight with a boring fighter.Who's interested in that? At 35 GGG is looking for the big fights and Lara isn't a big enough name despite being a skilled fighter.
Canoli lost to Lara. B.s. decesion and be deserved a rematch at the very least.

His focus is a weight he hasn't made in 2 years? Just said it's hard, he's moving up, gradually lol.

He's got the mw lineal belt. You respect those?

Did you miss the part where Lara's manager admitted it's all BS and they will only fight GGG if they get a retirement payment, and on it's on Showtime? Or Lou Dibella saying Lara can't fight GGG because of "TV problems."

Name me one top Haymon fighter, besides Khan who had no options, who has fought on HBO recently? It's all talk. How are people this dumb? Yeah, no one who can fight GGG wants to fight GGG, but magically that one guy, on Showtime, wants to fight him. Except he can't because of "TV problems" and because "Showtime has been loyal" (his manager said that). He is using GGG's name to stay relevant and some haters eat up the bull****. But that's all it is. If Lara wants to fight GGG, he can go to HBO, beat David Lemieux, and the fight is his. But he can't go to HBO, and David Lemieux would knock him out in 6 rounds, so there you go.

I'd love to see GGG-Lara though. Too bad Lara's team won't let it happen. Can't blame them. Slow Angulo knocked him down twice. GGG knocks him out in three rounds. I would bet my house on that fight, easiest top fight to pick in boxing. Chinny Lara against the top power puncher in the sport, with a great left hook, when Angulo knocked him down twice with a left hook. With Kovalev-Ward I at least have doubt. GGG-Lara? I would pick GGG to knock him out 100 out of 100 times. Easiest fight to pick. Anyone thinking Lara has a chance needs to turn in their boxing fan credentials immediately.

I'm not sure but they at least have to make a good faith effort to make the fight. If Lara asks for something ridiculous like Jacobs or Saunders, **** him too. But I just don't see Lara doing that. They made an effort with Saunders, he turned it down. Jacobs said they didn't offer him enough money. If they can do 150k with Lemiuex they can do 200k with Lara, especially promoting it off the name of Canelo since he's a common opponent. It can be built as a lead up to the Canelo fight.
