just seems like you are making excuses and not putting any of the responsibility on the opponent.....they lost....simple as that....they didnt adapt....at the end of the day you are in their fighting. I've seen some foul-infested fights and waiting on the ref or depending on them as a fighter can get you out of rhythm....its up to the fighters to defend themselves and afapt.
if you are a veteran pro and dont know how to work out of a clinch, avoid one, or get into a position wear the ref breaks you, then you need to go back to the gym and learn boxing basics. they teach you that in the amatuers
ward cheated and broke the rules...simple as that. he has to live with that criticism. he gets the wins but not the respect. at least from people who care about boxing and don't support blatant cheaters. some people just don't care and think the other fighter should have just done more and they don't see how inherently unfair that is. its like telling bowe to suck it up, they are just low blows. if you are a pro you know how to avoid them or counter them etc...if golota wasn't dq'd him you would prob be defending golota and saying well he won, bowe couldnt' hang with him, don't blame the ref, etc.... oh wait its different with clinching and headbuting because those are slick fouls lmao

a head butt and blatantly hitting someone in the nuts over and over are not the same sort of foul
protect yourself at all times..they teach you in the gym how to work out of a clinch and avoid one all together
maybe his opponents would be more competitive if they actually landed more than 1 out of every 4 or 5 swings....you know he lands at a clearly higher rate and gets hit less than his opponents...thats how fights are won
you know thats not even close to the same scenario...Golota sent Bowe's nuts up to his kidneys, uppercuts and hooks to the nuts bro
stop being a crybaby and be happy one of the biggest fights in boxing that could be made was made.
Where were all the fouls, clinches in his last few fights? stop reaching for something thats not there bro
either you believe Kov will win or you have doubts, which one is it....excuses are for losers
i have no doubts about kovalev, not only will he win, the fights going to be a lot more one sided than you all think
Given your inability to look at anything related to Andre Ward with even the smallest amount of objectivity, you're opinion here means less than nothing
so all of ward's past cheating and hometown advantages are erased because he signed to fight his first live body in 5 years?
the gloves won the fight not his home town its just a place where the fight was I can see if he was getting the edge on close fights but hes pretty much outclassed all his opponents, hes only has 3 fouls in 30 fights im not sure if ur statement is accurate. how can u live your life being this unfair? lol
Its funny how far back Ward detractors keep setting the goal posts. First it was, Ward would get respect if he signed to fight Kov. Check. Still no respect. Than it was Ward will get respect if he signs the fight and it's not in Oakland. Check. Still no respect. Now it's Ward will get respect as long as the fight isn't boring. Lets just face the facts, Ward detractors are not going to give him credit no matter what. They'll just keep pushing the goal posts back farther and farther.
Great post. I'd like to add that when Ward wins, they will find some excuse to not give him credit.
Ward would never have the courage to fight Kovalev in Russia. He wouldn't even come to Canada to fight Stevenson!
But Kovalev has to fight him in USA, and had the courage to fight Cleverly in Wales, Pascal in Canada, Hopkins in USA, etc.
LoL a Kovalev fight wouldn't happen in Russia because Kovalev is not a big draw there. If Russia was most the most lucrative option then I'm certain it would be happening there. You guys said Wilder would drop his belt if the Povetkin fight went to Russia..... guess what he didn't. No fighter is going to turn down the most lucrative option because it's away from home. Don't mention a Froch rematch, he never wanted a rematch with Ward after basically admitting he could never beat Ward. What I will admit is that Ward had the home advantage in the Super six cause he never had to travel to an opponents backyard, that was unfair.
Kovalev fought those guys in their home town because that's where the money was.
He was barely known when challenging Cleverly for his first title shot, where else was the fight was supposed to happen.
Kovalev deserves credit for fighting away from home but financially he never really had a home. You make it sound like he didn't have it all to gain money wise by fighting in those locations.
LoL a Kovalev fight wouldn't happen in Russia because Kovalev is not a big draw there.
Yes he is. Kovalev's a big name in Russia.
Kesssler-Ward would have made more money in Denmark, Froch-Ward would have been bigger in the UK.
But Ward demanded home advantage for ALL his fights in the Super Six. He NEEDS a shady referee to allow him to use illegal tactics, because he knows he's not good enough to win in a fair fight.
