Hatton's Trainer Billy Graham Predicts KO Victory

Ricky Hatton's trainer Billy Graham heads to America fully confident of victory going into The Hitman's WBA Welterweight title challenge of Champion Luis Collazo on a joint Fight Academy/Banner Promotions venture at Boston's TD Banknorth Garden on Saturday, May 13. Having previously trained World, European, Commonwealth and British Champions, Graham has turned his keen eye on Hatton's opponent. "Collazo is a good fighter but I have no doubts that Ricky will beat him," remarked the Manchester legend. "I think it will be very lively at first, while Ricky adapts to the southpaw thing, but I see Ricky as starting to break him up after a few rounds before stopping him." [details]

Remeber when Winky Wright put a beatdown on a couple of Billy Graham's boys in the mid-90's? And Winky sparred with an amateur Hatton.

Hatton used to hold his own with everybody he sparred, when he was 16-17 he would be travelling all around Manchester sparring with guys like Ensley Bingham (British Light Middle champ), Carl Thompson (WBO Cruiser champ), Andy Holligan (British and Commonwealth Light Welter champ), Winky Wright (WBO Light Middle champ), Pat Barrett (British and European Light Welter champ). He sparred with Tommy Hearns when he was 20, and Marco Antonio Barerra when he just turned 20. But only light sparring with Barerra and Hearns.

I'm not a big Hatton fan but I like his heart, but it upsets me that people can act like he is on top of da food chain. How many times is his team running there mouth, but they keep avoiding the fight's America wants. I know it's a business but ppl don't let PBF or RJJ get away with that when he was P4P king. I don't doubt his talent but get in there with some ppl that can either raise or expose him.If any other top name had his resumee they'd get hell!

Dude, you have to root for PBF against Hatton. All Americans should root for PBF, don't you think.
