Oh ****. This thread is over. Facts in a troll thread = dead troll thread for everyone except the dummies to continue ignoring facts.Golovkin's made offers to move up to 168lbs 4x already, each time the SMW turned him down.
November 2012 - Golovkin offers Edwin Rodriguez & Thomas Oosthuizen.
La Bomba was undefeated and turned down $500k, twice his highest payday at that point. Oosthuizen asked for more money than was available.
For a few hours on Friday, Worcester super middleweight Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez was nearly bumped into a whole new tax bracket. As it turned out, the undefeated USBA champion (22-0-0, 15 knockou…
May 2014 - In addition to negotiating with Chavez Jr for a fight at 168, Loeffler was also negotiating with Kessler for a fight at 168. But Kessler was asking for $4million.
Before Mikkel Kessler started his press conference in Copenhagen to announce his comeback, an interested party had made a call to inquire about a potential fight. According to Danish tabloid Ekstrabladet, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions reached out to Sauerland Event, to discuss the possibility of a clash between Kessler and IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin for a July date in Las Vegas. The fight would obviously have to take place at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds, although Kessler has stated in several interviews that he might entertain a catch-weight.
May 2015 - Golovkin & Froch negotiate. Froch retires.

February 2016 - Golovnkin's manager approaches WBA 168lb champ - Fedor Chudinov. Chudinov says he's not ready for Golovkin.
WBA super middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov (14-0, 10KOs) is not a young fighter at 28-years-old, but he is now a world champion who is gaining experience. Last May Chudinov pulled off one of the big surprises of 2015 when he won a twelve round split decision over veteran Felix Sturm to capture the vacant WBA title. Sturm, based on sheer experience, was the big favorite to win the fight.
His team is currently having discussions with TR for a Rameriz fight next year. Loeffler and Sanchez are on record saying they'd accept the DeGale fight.
People need to start jumping on the opponents to take the damn fight.Comment

Hey guys, since we're going to hate on Golovkin for not moving up, I've saved you all the trouble of finding the list of boxers who basically haven't done the same either. No need to thank me, as I know we should be hating on all these cowards without balls to do the same thing!
Any boxer that doesn't move up is a COWARD!!!!

Carl Froch - basically 168 since he turned professional in 2002
Lamont Peterson - basically 140 since he turned pro in 2004
Rances Barthelemy - 135 since 2009 (although is he moving up? Dude is almost 6 feet tall)

Hearns got an estimated $4.25 mil for the Hill fight, more than 10% of his estimated career earnings - hardly peanuts, is it? Roughly what he got for the first Leonard fight if my sums are right... (a 17 mil purse of which Sugar Ray got 12 mil) though way less than Leonard II. Not quite sure what the 'bigger paydays' you're talking about are, but hey, let's say you're right - does that mean that every fighter who doesn't emulate Hearns is a coward? Furthermore Hearns hadn't fought at MW in 3 years - since before he turned 30 - you quite sure he could still make the cut?Comment

GGG has only beat bums so far so why move up? At least let him beat someone half decent before moving up! Problem is the half de cent fighters say they aren't ready for GGG.
At least GGG is a gent and is willing to wait four themComment

Floyd started off at a weight which he could still make at the time do you honestly think he went up through all those weight division because he wanted to?
He did it because it was what best responded to his body maturity forcing his body to remain and killing himself to make weight is why he gradually progressed up through the weight divisions the only one he legitimately did move up by forcing himself was 154lbs why else do you think him as a champ at 154lbs refused to fight Lara and many of the other guys up there?Comment

Lol, Broner was an obvious hype job that guy should have had several losses but he was so protected boxing politics and corruption at its finest not awarding the man who should have won.
Fernando Quintero whooped his ass I believe the crowd booed the bad decision
Daniel Ponce De Leon another guy who beat him it was one of those slightly competitive fights but Leon landed more and did the better work
Pauli Malinaggi Broner constantly throwing and missing whilst Paulie would double up his punches and land twice of what Broner landed
So on top of the Maidana and Porter losses that's 5 losses he wasn't handed that he absolutely should have been handed.Last edited by M Bison; 08-27-2016, 01:51 PM.Comment
