Sky sports UK have released a new interactive P4P list which they are pushing, and golovkin is number one. Why do so called 'casual' fans rate golovkin so highly, yet the haters on here feel his record is terrible? Does this disprove the people on this forum who say golovkin will never get any recognition unless he goes up in weight? Discuss...

Well, I think the mark of a great fighter is his opposition and he hasn't had the best opposition of course, but he has called them all out. Obviously the others see something in him they want no part of. He's also dominated every fighter he's fought. Let them hate all they want. He'd very accomplished thus far. Hopefully after Brook, one of these wimps will step up to the plate.Comment

I think the interesting thing is that on this forum people are demanding he go up in weight to 'prove' himself, but public think hes proven enough already, hence voting him as P4P number 1. Is it a NSB myth that going up in weight is the main thing that defines a fighter?Comment

Gggs peers have crowned him no1. By acknowledging they aren't ready for him is the same as saying g GGG is the bestComment

yeah, its a shame it hasnt been proven in the ring. I think eventually if he hangs around middleweight, one by one they will eventually fight him, think the criticism canelo is getting would sting anyone, and it gets to a point where its probably less shame for him to go in and get ko'd by GGG than to keep avoiding the fight. Saying that, i think canelo does alright against GGG, not enough to win thoughComment
