Haymon is still signing fighters but he already got all the good ones!
haymon already signed enough guys but he is still signing more!a shame for him that haymon has stopped signing up so many fighters. Maybe there's still a deal to be made there, with haymon or schaefer's new company he can have a good performance on showtime and work towards a fight with wilder or joshua. Not heard any rumours of him moving in that direction though.
It just seems like his only chance of getting fury/joshua/wilder to face him is if he's mandatory. He's already part of the wba mix, as bad an organisation as they are he seems best off sticking with that, the wbc have a situation of their own (povetkin-stiverne to see who faces wilder, who is injured) and the next ibf mandatory after parker won't be for over a year so there's no short road to a big fight for him.
If he goes to haymon then fair enough, but arum and hearn won't sign him and it seems you're better off having a big/connected promoter in your corner when trying to get hbo/showtime exposure, enforce a mandatory or get a big fight. Maybe he'll go to rn as part of the deal to be on the kov-ward undercard but they've not solved rigo's career problems so far.Comment

1..first try to make sense with what your gonna say, and then spit it out..2..what does mexican champs have to do with a black american champion, a british champion or a cuban fighter?Comment

I hope this move helps the chances of those fights happening. If the big fights avoid him, he should do what Spence has been doing, annihilating common opponents to drive demand for the bigger fights. That and forcing mandatories...Comment

The writing was on the wall when HBO didn't even attempt to sign Joshua. The have no interest in the HW division. They're trying to build lower weight fighters because they're cheaper. Ortiz is old. It's now or never for him. He can't wait around while Golden Boy and HBO straighten out their issues with Haymon. It's a risk tho.Comment
