But I think Ward knows it too, and may have James Prince bribe the officials. He'll need to cheat to win.
I'm gonna laugh so hard if Ward comes in clinching and head butting then ends up getting KTFO

On one hand I feel people are looking to make excuses for why Kovalev loses this fight..Just my opinion but I think he dominates Kovalev no matter where they fight......

On second hand, and Im gonna admit first and foremost I have no real clue if it's true or not, but I think promoters are responsible for paying judges to swing fights in one fighters favor...I personally don't think anybody but Golden Boy paid a judge to pretend he thought Canelo won over Floyd....I personally don't think anybody but Arum paid to make sure Bradley won the first Pac fight and nobody but Kathy Duva made sure Adamek won after Cunningham thoroughly spanked him.....Even if the commission picks the judges, it wouldn't be hard to have a friend in the commission paid to hire judges who will play along....Arum once said the promoter is responsible for every aspect of a fight even down to how many plastic cups will be needed for drinks.....Like I said I have no real clue just my thoughts on shady judging...

If Kovalev is expecting him to head butt, that's what may happen.

Hopkins came in with his head in round one against Sergey, and ended up on the canvas.

In a fair fight, I am 100% certain that Sergey wins.

But will it be fair? Or will the deck be stacked against him?

Well, there's one sure fire way that Kovalev gets the right outcome: Knock Andre "SOG" (Scared Of Golovkin) Ward the fuck out!

                  Yes.

But what if Jack Reiss is there to protect Ward and stops the action, calling Kovalev's legal punches fouls?

Like Joe Cortez did in Soto-Lorenzo?

Nationalistic or biased referees can make a difference in fights, like we saw in Soto-Lorenzo (Joe Cortez), Mansour-Cunningham (Smoger is a friend of Cunningham), Lomachenko-Salido (Lawrence Cole), Martinez-Cintron (Frank Santore Jr), Hatton-Mayweather (Cortez again), and Kessler-Ward (Jack Reiss).

We all know nationalistic boxing judges can ruin a boxer's efforts. Remember Kotelnik-Alexander, Pacquiao-Bradley I, Brewster-Meehan, and Sturm-De La Hoya?

Commentators who are rooting for one fighter over another can make a difference in public opinion. If the HBO commentators are rooting for one fighter over another, they can sway the viewers. We know Max Kellerman and the other American commentators will be rooting for Andre Ward, as will John Rawling (who doesn't like Russians) on the international feed if BoxNation is covering it. Dan Rafael and other American boxing journalists may become nationalistic and score all the rounds for Ward, whether he wins them or not.

Do you believe Sergey Kovalev will get a fair shake when he fights Andre Ward?
Andre Ward has defeated all his opponents clearly. Didn't need help from paid off judges or referees

Looks to me you are cooking up ready made excuses......

                      top 3
                      1) he running doe
                      2) he clinching doe
                      3) he head butting doe

in all his fights combined since last year which includes Paul Smith, Sullivan Barrera, and Brand there were only a handful of clinches and clashing of heads

I guess you missed the parts of all his fights when he lands more punches than his opponents and lands at a higher %.....he usually lands 40% or more of his shots and his opponents only land 25% or less....that's going bring a lot of clear wins bro

excuses are for losers and the weak
