            Lol, if you think it was 25+ lbs of muscle then you don't know how weight cutting as a professional athlete works. He had to eat/drink a lot to make the HW limit in the first place. He didn't have the natural body to be a HW. Once the fight was over, he would have started to drop weight naturally as he probably didn't consume as many calories to stay at the HW limit. Majority of that cut was water weight. He just cut a crazy amount in such a short period that I don't think his body was used to it and he looked really flat. Cutting that much weight at his age is never good.

              Yep, pretty much the downfall of his career. Think i seen another post about dropping weight this way reduces punch resistance. Maybe its true

                It does as you are draining water from your whole body including your brain. It takes longer than 24 hours for that water to come back into your body fully therefore it puts you at greater risk of concussions. The UFC have been having earlier weigh-ins for a couple of weeks now and everyone seems to be happy about it. Before the weigh-ins would happen in the evening, now they happen in the morning which gives the fighter more time to rehydrate.
