Uzbekistan presented a great team. But their results are highly suspicious. 0 medals in 2008, 1 bronze in 2012 and now 3 gold and 3 bronze. Aside from winning several close and some controversial decisions they impresed with their high intensity and physical boxing. They reminded me about the 2012 Ukrainian team. Letīs stop being naive. Doping anyone?
Currently AIBA suspended boxers come from the following countries:
Ukraine 4 boxers
Turkey 2 boxers
Uzbekistan 1 boxer (Dilshod Mahmudov)
Russia 1 boxer
Romania 1 boxer
Albania 1 boxer
Dominican Republic 1 boxer
Honduras 1 boxer
Itīs no secret many of the former Soviet Republic countries have a history of doping and boxing is no exception of course.
