It's not the goal lol. More talk. This is a dude with over 30 fights and one decent opponent out of them all, Stiverne. Just one lol. And he just ducked one who's not even that good. But we're supposed to believe that's all going to change suddenly and now he's going to start fighting top guys?

Nope. He's injured, supposedly, so he can't fight. The other top heavyweights have fights lined up. So, it's the perfect time to talk, and get press, while having those excuses lined up for why he can't actually do any of it. Then when he comes back from "injury," he'll need three "get well" fights. By then maybe some cab driver gets lucky and KOs Tyson Fury, and then Wilder will go after that belt, selectively.

That's how Haymon fighters operate man. Look at Spence cherry picking the IBF belt, instead of going after Thurman or even Garcia, because he knows Brook is too big to defend that belt anymore and that he will get to win it in an interim fight against an easy opponent, instead of against Brook. That's just how they operate. They are ruining the sport that's why I don't watch Haymon fights anymore out of principle, and also because they're boring and uncompetitive.

Wilder has had 4 title defenses in 20 months. That's good by today's standards. Boxrec ranks the 4 guys he defended against as follows.Molina 15th, Duhaupas 15th, Szpilka 23rd and Arreola 45th. That's not terrible by today's standards but it's not very good. It's a long way from unification title fights. When he fights his first unification fight I will believe his goal is to win all the belts. I don't think he is good enough to take Joshua's belt or Fury's belt.

Wilder is good enough to unify. When he comes back in 2017 he'll want to become undisputed asap.
