  • Froch isn't that far off. GGG honestly just hasn't been tested by any top named MW. Weak division at the moment for GGG? Maybe.

The question then becomes why has he not agreed to fight any of the other guys at 168 like Degale who called him out.? Thats a fight that silences all of Golovkin's critics and it makes him a ton of money in the UK. Its actually the opposite of the Brook fight. Instead of going up 1 wt. class where there is respect and a legit p4p ranking, he goes down 2 wt. classes where there is only more ridicule and criticism win or lose. At what point does it become worth the risk to shut everybody up? As a Golovkin fan you have to want that for him.

And there's not a lotta guys out there that are established elites. So 8 is probably a little low for Gennady. Even though his resume is absolutely pathetic for someone with his hype.

Some people sometimes lose sight of what p4p means. Its not whos got the best resume because you could spend your whole life arguing that.. Its about all being equal who would win. Most unbiased people wouldnt pick any potential opponent to beat GGG. GGG would beat Eubank, BJS, Jacobs. If GGG was as big as Nelo hed beat Nelo as well.
Im saying that tongue in cheek as Nelo is actually supposedly smaller than GGG. Regardless, GGG beats Nelo whether GGG is smaller or bigger.

Floyd mayweather was no1 p4p for a long time not because he had the best resume. Its because people liked what they saw and liked how he beat who he beat. Most would pick him all beinq equal, although many thought Pac would beat Floyd even though Pac was smaller. So of course many thought Pac was no1 p4p.

May I ask about your opinion on Ward or Canelo (both higher in Froch's p4p list)

his team did say 154-168 anyone can get it.....no one of note has got it though

its been 3 years since his HBO debut and he has only beat one decent fighter, David Lemieux

have you ever seen a fighter accomplish so little be considered "top 3 p4p"

he has the weakest resume of all time for that kind of lofty status

as oppose to ggg, I think ward and canelo have fought the better resume 10folds than that of ggg, ward has fight kessler, abraham, froch, now he is going to be fighting arguably the #1 p4p in boxing. Canelo has fought THE #1 p4p in boxing (at a disadvantage mind you because he dared to be great didnt cry and moan about this or that) Lara, trout, cotto.

So yes ward and canelo should be above ggg absolutely.

anyone that is knowledgeable and truly follows the sport knows GGG is not top 5 p4p.....if you don't beat elite competition, you cant be considered elite....that's common sense....you're only as good as your competition and he literally has beaten the worst opposition I have seen in the top 3 p4p by ESPN, RING Magazine, and other publications

he has awesome hype, good skills but is not proven on the upper echelon of talent. simple

                    • If Nelo has this so called unbelieveable resume, why do people think GGG would beat Nelo? So these remarks that GGG has beaten the worse opposition for any top 3 p4p doesnt make much sense. People dont really believe GGGs opponents have been that bad, rather GGG makes them look worse than they actually are, and people can see that. Otherwise Nelo would have stopped GGGs opponents like GGG did, and we know he wouldnt. Nelo couldnt stop old man SSM so why automatically assume hes better than he actually is.

People are impressed with how GGG has dealt with who he has dealt with and dont neccesarily believe Nelo would handle the opponents ggg fought as impressively or effectively. So why wouldnt GGG be rated above Nelo or others?
GGG has dealt with everyone clinically and efficiently, so why wouldnt he with the likes of Trout or similar opponents. Nelo made khan look world class for 3 rounds or so. GGG would dispatch of khan in one round like you are supposed to do.
Many reasons why GGG is rated where he is. Literally anyone could spend a long time giving reasons.

GGG is top 3 p4p and no use in arguing that his resume dont warrant it. You make him favourite against Nelo so you are theoretically agreeing he warrants his p4p status and you like his body of work. And if you say you think Nelo beats GGG because hes got a better resume, you would be a liar anyway.
