Just going off the previous post, 154-168. I agree that 155 is BS, but if you are willing to fight 154-168, 155 rest within it. The same when ggg asked Ward for a catch weight. He needs to put stipulations on certain fighters instead of saying he'll fight anyone from 154 to 168.

Disagree on 155. First off, it's a mando and 3 belt unification, that should only be at 160. A CW unification is always wrong, but is more excusable if there's a genuine size difference, like Oscar vs Hopkins. And even there the midget offered a very reasonable 158. But main difference is, Oscar wanted the unnecessary Hop fight, Canelo badly wanted to avoid the mandated Ggg fight, at the cost of his rep. So they didn't even bother negotiating before dropping the belt

Good interview with Drozd. Agree with most of it. I think he's underestimating Brook a bit. But yeah, there's no doubt Golovkin is the favorite. Vegas odds of 1/7 are pretty close to the truth IMO.

Canelo definitely has a good chance of beating Golovkin. Most people underestimate and forget how good Canelo is. It's probably a 50/50 fight in reality, perhaps 60/40.

The title of the article is misleading. Drozd does not say "no shot". He says "not much of a chance".

...first of all GGG did not refuse a fight with Canelo at 155....those numbers were kept quiet so you don't know what you are talking about....and here is the straight goods on Ward......Ward called out GGG one hour after it was announced that GGG had a contract to fight Lemieux.....this can be checked out for a fact in the transcripts……second of all GGG's team had been trying to come to an agreement for two years with Ward....the problem was first Ward was in trouble with law suits with Goossen...they were suing each other....Goosen won the lawsuit three times.....then Ward signed with Roc Nation....the first thing Roc Nation said was that Ward needed two tune up fights before they would let Ward fight GGG...then Ward fought one fight at 172 pounds....GGG and his team got tired of waiting for Andre Ward to make up his mind what he wanted to do...then look at the numbers....Ward fought in his own home town and he could not put 4000 people in the arena....Ward fought at the Citizens centre and there were only 3000 people....every single word I have put here can be checked out by anybody simply by looking at the transcripts....and if that is not enough for you then here is a video by Tom Loeffler.....either Loeffler is lying or Ward is lying....only problem with that is that the transcripts will back up Loeffler and not Ward....http://www.fighthype.com/news/article23436.html?

Golovkin vs Alvarez?

It's not easy to assess Alvarez's chance against Golovkin until he fights first Lemieux, Rosado, Curtis Stevens, or even Willie Monroe Jr. That way, we can see how Alvarez will take a punch and be able to know how he will fare against Golovkin.
