The last thing Kovalev wants, is for this fight to go twelve! If it does, Kovalev will need at least one 10-8 round. Kovalev can't beat Ward in a boxing match! Kovalev needs to do to Ward, what Maidana did to Floyd, but not just for 4 or 5 rounds like Maidana, but 7 or 8 rounds!

He's not slower. He moved up in weight which is supposed to take a little speed because you're adding muscle and weight. As a 175 fighter, pound for pound, he is just as fast as he was at 168. The Ward we saw win every round basically his last two fights is the same Ward we always saw. You think the Ward that barely beat Sakio Bika was any better than the one that schooled a much bigger Brand at a higher weight?

So this is prime Ward. And JDJ seems completely ignorant of his own fighter when he says Ward is past his prime because prime years last until 32, but then his own fighter is 33. Wtf is that? Does he think Kovalev is younger than he really is lol?

Anyway Ward looks like he's at his best to me. Kovalev didn't vs Chilemba but hopefully he just didn't train, and he can be at his best too. And hopefully we get a great fight if the ref is neutral and doesn't allow holding and fouling.
