As a matter a fact I do, SF GIANTS FAN RIGHT HERE. Slugging means hitting. In any way shape or form. Have you heard the term, Slug someone in the face.

I do know it's a baseball term. But that doesn't mean you can't use it as a boxing nickname. The Brown Bomber, The Bronze Bomber. Don't you think The ******ed Bronx Bombers nickname had some sort of inspiration in to those nicknames
