  • Biggest coward in recent times?

Which fighter do you consider the biggest coward of modern times?

Canelo, with his "the fight needs to marinate", "i'm not a middleweight", and wide list of excuses to not fight Golovkin, all while preferring to fight small guys?

Golovkin, who refused to move up and fight Ward, as he simply saw it as too big of a risk?

Klitschko, for feeling so unnerved during "The Gloves Are Off" with Fury that he claimed to have let Fury win their first fight on purpose?

Thurman, for refusing to fight Spence even if it means that he would get a Mayweather fight for it?

Kovalev and Stevenson, for obviously ducking each other over and over again?

Lomachenko for first refusing to fight Walters because he was a little bit overweight and then later not offering him a respectable amount of money to make the fight happen?

Frampton for refusing to fight Rigondeaux, despite the fact that such a win would force the boxing world into accepting him as a P4P fighter?

Who do you consider the biggest coward in recent times? And why?

Ward is moving up in weight to fight Kovalev and he tried to make Golovkin fight him, but Golovkin refused. Ward is hunting Golovkin and Kovalev, the two guys that everyone are blabbering about all the time. You can't call him a coward.

Deontay Wilder was travelling to Russia to fight Povetkin. It's not his fault that Povetkin thought drugs would be neccessary to win. However, the argument of Wilder being a coward can be made, based on the fact that he fights so many weak opponents. Povetkin would have been only the second time he has defeated a good opponent.

Canelo is a massive coward, though, we agree on that.

Ward is boxings number 1 coward in my opinion for deliberately fighting people so obviously below his level for 5 years, demanding his fights are in oakland, and has a cowardly way of fighting, with his constant fouls and negative tactics.

The opponents Ward has been fighting in the last 5 years are better than the opponents through Golovkin's entire career, bro...

1st off, this isnt a sport where a ''coward'' could make a buck. its a business as well. even more so. there is no set schedule like other sports. top guys usually fight 2-3 a yr. thats 3 games in other sports. a boxer has to maximize the fights to money making potential. the ol ''risk/reward'' conundrum.

i will use the word ''reluctant'' or ''hesitant''~
maybe stevenson..not sure the details of the move to shobox but networks dont play well together. did stevenson run to shobox in order to not fight krusher ?

alvy is reluctant even though he said hes willing. what i dont get and no 3g fan will explain is, why does everyone else have to move around but him ???? no 3g fan can call anyone a ''coward'' for not moving up to fight him since hes yet to move up.

that ''garbage'' between lewis and bowe was pitiful.

gaye and the wlad delays and his pinky toe nonsense.

srl waiting out hagler ''i will not fight that man (now. years later ? yeps).''

most people when it came to fighting pryor. or so the story goes.

tyson vs holy...tyson knew after rd 1 that holy was for real and did everything he could to get out of it.

pac ''demanding'' cotto move down to fight him was puzzling.
