Comments Thread For: Arum: HBO Abandoned Pacquiao After Sucking Him Dry For 10 Years!

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is NOT a happy camper when discussing the current relationship between eight division champion Manny Pacquiao and HBO. Arum, while speaking with the Los Angeles Times, lashed out at HBO for "abandoning" Pacquiao "after sucking him dry for 10 years."

If Manny took on crawford, they would have took the fight.

But Manny wants a shiet opponent in a shiet fight.

Manny only got himself to blame.

Exactly. Give the fans the fights they want to see right way, instead of continuing to marinate as if Pacquiao isn't already passed his prime enough, and HBO will air the fights. Pacquiao-Vargas should be on regular HBO not PPV, same as Crawford-Postol.

Arum has lost his mind. This fight is garbage and they wanted to dictate the date for a crap fight when Manny ppvs have fallen off big time. Bradley, algeiri, rios, all ppv bombs. He's a old fighter who requests a huge purse demand but doesn't draw ppvs to justify the it. and manny screwed HBO with the anti gay comments. If arum gave HBO a better fight or was more willing to move the date this wouldn't be a problem.

Crawford said "Manny must fight me at 140", a weight Manny hasn't made in 7 years. If Crawford really wanted the fight he'd challenge Manny at 147.

I actually don't think Crawford would have changed anything, yeah the die hards would be happy but you lose the big Mexican audience. Crawford had poor numbers last time and fought in a boring way (to casual fans).
