This argument is so silly. 90% time people move up because they can no longer easily make the lower weight. Sometimes they move up for money, either to fight a particular guy or in a division that is more popular. Very very rarely, they move up solely for legacy.

Hagler never moved up, despite dominating the division, and most of his most famous fights are against people who moved up to him.

Nobody is required to move up because they are so much better than the other people in the division.

As for how hard Golovkin hits, there's a list of a dozen sparring partners and 2 dozen opponents who say the same thing. It's not really in dispute.

You do know there is no SRL, Hearns, Duran moving up to fight GGG. Please y'all should stop comparing the 2 fighters.

hagler went through real competition. no real need to move up. the moving around is for us fans to point out to other fans. it sucks to see a guy fighting smaller guys when bigger guys are available. sparring partners dont count. yeah, 3g hits hard. bfd.

Brook is a talented fighter. I don't think GGG takes this fight or any of his fights for granted. I do think that he has a methodical purpose when he gets in the ring. If Brook can break up GGGs hunting style he may have a shot. If not it will be lights out for Brook in short order. Should be an interesting match up.
