It's not PPV in the US is it?

Don't know, haven't followed this fight much but also don't want to give them a viewer rating for it either. Perhaps that forces HBO to open their wallet and spend money on his next opponent.

              April 24, 2016:

It’s unclear whether Canelo will take the fight with Golovkin because he has a big decision to make about whether it makes sense for him to make that move. One fighter we won’t be seeing Golovkin fight is IBF welterweight champion Kell “Special K” Brook (36-0, 25 KOs). Golovkin was asked last Saturday night whether he’s be agreeable to fighting he 29-year-old Brook, and he answer was no.

Golovkin says he 5’9” Brook is too small for him to fight. Brook is an inch and a half shorter than the 5’10 ½” Golovkin and has a reach that is one inch shorter. Brook looks like he comes into his fights in the 160s, possibly close to 165. What this really means is that Brook’s size disadvantage would be minimal.

Brook is arguably a junior middleweight at this point in his career that melts down to 147 to fight guys like Kevin Bizier, Frankie Gavin and Jo Jo Dan. Brook’s career has never really fulfilled the promise that some felt he had when he first turned pro 12 long years ago. Yeah, Brook captured the IBF belt two years ago in a clinch-filled fight against Shawn Porter, but he failed to do anything after winning the IBF belt and he’s now little more than a paper champion at welterweight.

I think he’s too small,” Golovkin said when asked by Fighthype.com if he would be willing to fight Brook at a catch-weight of 157lbs. “My focus is on 160middleweight division. Kell Brook and everybody are just trash talking. If he’s ready, of course, I’ll fight Canelo because he’s middleweight champion. My focus is on middleweight division and the belts in the middleweight division. I don’t feel I’m the next [Mike Tyson]. Too much. I’m Triple G, Gennady Golovkin.”

Well, there it is. Brook is too small for the likes of Golovkin. I guess Brook can forget about name dropping Golovkin’s name in the future because it looks like he’s saying it’s a no sale situation. Golovkin wants a real middleweight, not a big welterweight.

This fight is free in the US. Whereas Canelo sought out a smaller Amir Khan and then sold that **** sandwich, GGG is fight Brook for lack of a middleweight option, and you won't have to pay for it.

I do not love this fight, I would rather Eubank Jr. had fired his dad and fought triple G. But for a stay busy fight, it's not as bad as people make it out.

It's a ******ly tall order for brook but he has a good style and in recent fights doesn't get tagged too cleanly

Only thing is you don't have to get hit flush when ggg throwing bombs

Still backing brook for the upset but il be watching it through my fingers

                  War brook

Brook should 100% lose, but if he wins Ill laugh so hard.
