I can see the haters starting to hate on Shakur Stevenson, these people are SO pahertic! How can you blame Shakur for the Russian kid pulling out of the fight? he knew he was gonna get his ass whooped so he backed away, this russian kid is now guaranteed a medal by 2 gift decisons and a withdrawal, it's the most I've seen the establishment support a fighter at the expense of others , yet AMERICANS come on here and hate on Shakur Stevenson, same **** with Wilder Povetkin. Hell Americans aren't even talking about Gary Russell getting blatanty robbed in his last fight against the Uzbek kid.

But that's not how it happened. What's to stop a guy from butting and elbowing anyway? As a matter of fact, I saw quite a few elbows and butts. That tactic is already in effect. Letting a guy through with a lot of free passes while everyone else fights four or five times isn't fair either.

One guy barely fought yet he is now in the final yet the other two guys have been active and earning there way into the finals.

This is why I don't like the no-headgear rule. This isn't professional boxing. These guys have to fight several times in a short period of time. Not twice a year. So cuts, which headgear often protects agaisnt, can completely turn an important tournament like this upside down.

Yea, but Nikitin really lost twice, against Conlon and before that Nikitin clearly lost against the Thai fighter named Chatchai Butdee, got his ears boxed off. So Nikitin was beaten up before he even fought Conlon, but then was beaten up again. Two gifts in a row, pathetic. But nobody cared much about Chatchai, so there was no uproar about that right.

His cuts were not the result of head butts, they were the result of Nikitin not having any defense except for his face. In both fights his opponents Butdee and Conlon were pretty much unmarked.

Nikitin was going to lose to Stevenson anyway, but who knows what the judges would've done. Olympic boxing is so corrupt, it's laughable. Only the sports that don't depend on subjective scoring escape being corrupted.

I said what I mean, Conlan got mugged off now this Russian twat is out because of the injuries he has been served through previous fights...
Now that he is out they should give Conlan the fight against Stevenson it's a bit obvious that it's the only right thing to do instead of giving an unfair advantage to Shakur.

Actually I agree with this (not the name calling part), particularly since Conlan got robbed to begin with, and everyone knows it. Furthermore, the Russian should be stripped of the medal that the officials were paid to give him. This cat was awarded two robberies in a row, he got beat even worse in his previous fight (before Conlan) against the Thai fighter, Chatchai Butdee. And Chatchai vs Conlan would've been very interesting also.

BTW, Gary Russell was robbed also. The bottom line is the corruption robs all of us of seeing the best vs the best, as well as ruins the fighters dream and wastes all the hard work they put in. All because greed is ruining pretty much everything, as I have not doubt that this is the result of people getting paid off.
