It's unfair to suddenly change how we interpret what boxers say. Shouldn't NSB stay consistent and hold GGG to the literal interpretation of his words like we have other boxers on NSB?
    hmmmmmmm

Houdini can't wiggle his way outta' that one.

As an example, there are posters here who still to this day bring up Floyd calling himself TBE when questioning his place in history who will then say well what GGG is saying is just for hype.

J0zef is correct in his point, its just that he (and others) will not do the same for all boxers. That is the main problem I have.

It's pretty simple but these GGG fanboys will never admit to it because it will break this phony facade GGG and his camp have created.

          GGG fans are recycled Pacta.rds.

If he were from the States and of a certain hue....he'd be called the biggest sham in boxing history...and you best believe the media wouldn't give him a pass.

Why doesn't it apply to Canelo?

The only person that Golovkin had absolutely no problems fighting at 154 without any questions was Floyd. And Canelo is not Floyd in popularity, respect, or money. Not even close. Plus, Canelo wanted to fight at 155, where Golovkin would be risking his belts.

Lol. Pretty much every boxer in the world fights in 1 division and considers moving up or down if the fight is worth it. The Golovkin obsession club latches onto each word he/his team says and interpret according to your agenda.

The definition has never changed. It's been consistent with what has been said for the last 100 years. You guys choose to misinterpret it, and that's your own problem.

So yeah, please continue to tell yourself that he's ducking Canelo. The rest of us will get a good laugh out of it.

See what I mean? You wont even be honest about the way other fighters are held to the literal standard.

Sorry man but you guys can't have it both ways. GGG is being held to exactly what he said. His fans can't expect him to be given the benefit when they do not extend same to other fighters.

I never said he ducked Canelo.

                a. I have no idea what you're talking about other fighters.
                b. There's absolutely no way, shape or form other boxers are held to literal standards. Most of the boxers are not exactly rocket scientists, and they say a LOT of ****** things. Simple example from top of my head - Ward saying he'll fight Floyd at 160. It's a ****** statement that noone took seriously.

Also I would like to point out for 120908213th time that statement "I will fight anyone between 154 and 168" in no way shape or form means or implies that you're gonna be fighting at those exact weights.

154-168 is safe again. Ward is at 175 and said he cant ever make 168 again.

Go look at the Ward floyd 160 thread and then be honest about how many didn't hold him to it literally. Go check what Floyd said about catchweights or TBE. There are other examples.

Posters like to hold certain fighters to exactly what is said when they can use that to criticize. When posters do this to GGG his fans get upset.

deal with it the same way you expected others to in the threads I pointed out.
