Comments Thread For: Povetkin vs. Stiverne Ordered For WBC Interim, Wilder Title Shot

On May 15, 2016, the WBC granted Champion Deontay Wilder the right to make a voluntary defense of his World Title, which took place on July 16, 2016. In connection with that defense, Champion Wilder injured his right hand and arm, injuries that required surgery.

So much for that great American hope. Go Miller! Lay Kassi on his back and I'll pop a cork. The English are coming!

Good fight. It's a shame Stiverne was so sick for the Wilder fight. He's better than that night. Hope he's made a recovery and can get back to where he was.

Good for the WBC. Atleast that cheat Povetkin has to fight someone to get the shot. Go Stiverne!!!

            Finally, a fight for Povetkin.

The cowardly Wilder can remain inactive and shoot off his big mouth for a few more months.

Not bad. Wilder's inactive anyway, and we get a good fight between Stiverne and Povetkin.

Povetkin is slow but beats the slower Stiverne in boring bout

Glacier slow Communist Povetkin will beat the aging inactive slower tribesman Stiverne easy as Stivie isn't that good and will be tagged often by Povie. Povetkin was caught using steroids or whatever but looking at Stiverne one must figure that dunce has every chemical known to mankind in his ****** fueled body. Boring fight but since both men are slow they are easy to hit. Povie on a decision as all Stivie wants is a paycheck anyway. DUH?

Can't argue with this decision. Now we get to see if Povetkin can be strong late in a fight without the aid of meldonium. Stiverne has whiskers and won't be afraid to mix it up.

                    Dying to see post-Meldonium Povetkin

I hope Povetkin wins, not so much for his sake so much as for the sake of not having to see Wilder-Stiverne II
