The thought that Mayweather or ANYBODY would actually retire to avoid those guys,must come from a cartoon mind.

According to your facts, Mayweather retired to avoid a fighter(Cotto)whose management team refused to allow mayweather to fight Cotto at 140. Later, Mayweather after failing to get a shot at Cotto at 140 and avoiding Cotto at 147 fought him at 154 and beat Cotto.

Meanwhile, while Mayeather was avoiding Margarito, Margarito lost to Daniel Santos, lost to Paul Williams and then got KTFO by Shance Mosley. Mayweather decided to wait until Mosley KTFO of Margarito, so that Mayweather would not have to face Margarito. Instead, Mayweather faced Mosley and took him to school for 12 rounds.

Mayweather is a ****ing genius. Why fight Cotto at 140 when you can fight him at 154 and make a lot more money and cut Arum out completely. Why risk a fight with Margarito, when you can just wait for him to get KO'd and then beat the snot out of the guy who KO'd Ma rgarito.
