Comments Thread For: Frampton: No Fall Rematch, I Proved Quigg Was a Sky TV Hype Job!

Carl Frampton (23-0, 14KOs) has rejected the idea of having a fall rematch with Scott Quigg. There was plenty of hype for years before a deal finally came together. The two domestic rivals finally fought back in February, with Frampton breaking Quigg's jaw and winning a twelve round decision.

I don't think we need a rematch for this any time soon. The first fight was pretty poor in general. Quigg had his moments late on.

There's lots of good fights around those weights for Quigg to establish himself again and if he can beat some good opponents and people want to see them fight again in future, then why not. But right now Frampton is moving on to bigger and better things.

It won't have anywhere near the appeal the first fight had.

The Framp is a true warrior after beating Santa Snooze in US

Give the little Framp big credit as Framp went to America and beat Leo soundly and fairly with little doubt as who the real winner was. Same as Kell Brook came to America and beat Porter at home. Let the Quiggie fight Rigo and see what happens. Frampton is a warrior the boxing world now recognizes as legitimate.

Framton is running from Rigo. Quigg isn't the one saying he'll fight anybody but...

I agree with Frampton. That fight was pretty horrible to watch.

was a pretty close fight i thought, i had it 115-113 frampton, certainly didnt expose quigg or anything like that. if quigg pressured you earlier he might have won as he pretty much won almost every round in 2nd half of the fight

Did Frampton just reveal who he's fighting next in Belfast? Gary Russel or Lee Selby? I'd luv to see that.
