All these haters claiming Floyd was bad for the sport, yet he's investing a lot of money and time in boxing, the man is grinding and working trying to get talent to put on free TV and you know if the fighter can walk the walk that Floyd is gonna match him tough just like he did with Jack, Love, Ishe and Mikey Bey. He's building his company with stars he built from the ground up and he's not getting free slots on TV because of his name, so give the man some respect for what he's doing and for what he's doing for the sport, not a lot of people are doing what he's doing right now.

Floyd has the most successful promotion ever, MayPac. The man has been retired less than a year and he's trying to build his company and it's been successful so far. This isn't a rinky dinky promotion. He's promoted and co-promoted plenty of fights and has two world champions under his belt. He's working on a deal with Hearn to do some shows in the UK. My point is he's putting in the work to become a good promoter. Why are you so negative?
What Floyd is doing is no different than what Oscar has been doing for year, what Top Rank has been doing and what K2 has been doing.

But what you are missing on what I'm saying is, your company is only as good as who is running it and who's the CEO.

It's cool that Floyd is getting out there and showing fighters interest and putting his money out there but when it comes down to the real business and who running the show its Leonard Ellerbe, he's the CEO.

Top Rank, K2, golden boy all had success because of who ran those businesses. Mayweather promo with Ellerbe as CEO and running the show it would make me think twice if I was a fighter looking to join their company. . Just because Floyds the money behind the business and the figurehead he's not the one crunching the numbers and doing what the CEO does.

All you have to do it look at Golden Boy. Oscar like Floyd now was the money behind the business and the figurehead but he had a proven guy in Shaefer as the CEO and running it all. Now look at Golden Boy without scheafer. There a huge difference in the company.

So with Ellerbe being the behind the scenes guy and setting up deals and getting sponsorship it would make me iffy.

Ellerbe never got Floyd who was the biggest thing in boxing any sponsorship deals.

So as a fighter you have to take all that into consideration.

The three you named made most of their money after they left Bob. The one that stuck with him, Pacquiao, is broke. Top Rank is great at making guys stars. Bob told Floyd it was impossible for him to make $20 mil fighting Oscar. One year later after he left Bob, Floyd fought Oscar for $22 mil. The only fight he had in between time was Baldomir..

But what you fail to realize is that Top Rank built them up and promoted their careers to where they were in a position of stardom that they could leave and go out on their own to make the money they did.

One thing you can't deny Top Rank is that know how to take s fighter from the beginning, build them up and make them stars.

As a young fighter starting out that's what you want.

How do I fail to realize that when my statement says TOP RANK IS GOOD AT BUILDING STARS? Your're just looking for a reason to argue

Look I'm not looking to argue. I think is you. I was just responding to what you said that they made all their money after they left.

My response was Top Rank put them in that position career wise where they made them stars, so now they can go out on their own and make real money.

If you are a fighter looking to turn pro Top Rank is just superior in making and building up fighters and where you want to be in the beginning.
