Margarito looked like garbage last night against a feather fisted club fighter who was exhausted after 3 rounds. And still he barely beat that bum and got his eye busted up. Canelo or any top fighter would be a major mismatch. Margarito must be dead broke and fighting to keep the lights on. He just wants a payday but somebody in his circle or the major boxing organizations need to step in for his health.

He probably doesn't care as much about beating Canelo as he does about getting the fight. Sure, he wants to win the fight but mainly he wants to get the fight because it's a huge payday for him. Everybody wants to fight Canelo because a fight with him is one of the biggest paydays in the sport. Beating Canelo's brother doesn't really earn him a shot at Canelo. Boxrec has Margarito ranked at about number 39 in the world at 154 and Canelo's brother is ranked as the 41st best 154 pounder in the world. Margarito needs to beat a top 15 contender and then he will probably get the Canelo fight and big payday he wants. He will also get the same kind of beat down defeat than Angulo recieved from Canelo.
