Boxers Beating Up Attackers on the Street

In 1971, Dempsey recounted an incident when he was mugged while walking home at night. According to Dempsey, the two young muggers attempted to grab his arms, but Dempsey broke free and laid them both out cold on the sidewalk. The story of the encounter appeared in the Hendersonville Times-News in July 1971. In the print-story, the incident was reported to have taken place "a few years ago".[

I had read somewhere that Zab Judah fended off two attackers, but haven't been able to find it lately. I've also seen the footage of Rocky Lockridge knocking out a guy who basically seemed to be insulting him while drunk, but not necessarily attacking him.

Anyone know of other incidents where boxers "took care of themselves" in the street?

Broner defending himself at the bowling alley. I forget the details but I recall the other dude tried to walk out on a bet and Broner took actions into his own hands.

-After some amateur card, one guy started to insult Jeff Fenech, who lost that day, Fenech beat the guy so badly that they needed to grab him before he killed the guy, people surrounding him says he was a brutal street fighter.
-Eddie Futch knocked out some guy who tried to rob him.
-Chuck Wiggins used to fight day and night, one day drunk, he cleaned a bar, beating everyone, then the police arrived, he beat them too, after they were capable of control him, they send him to a cell, where he beat all the prisoners.
-Sonny Liston once beat a cop and threw him in a trash can.
-It's well known the story of Tyson beating the bully who kill one of his pigeons.
-Bob Foster was taken out from the school because he fractured the skull of kid in a fight.

A guy would have to be an idiot to mess with Liston. Just look at him.

I knew Fenech had a mean streak. Sounds like that guy got very lucky to survive.

And a young Bob Foster? Man, it's a wonder he didn't kill the kid.

Tyson beat that flamboyant clown into a pulp in the streets before defeating him in the ring. He also fought in the streets all the time as a kid, as I'm sure lots of other fighters did. Jack Dempsey as a kid fought against grown men in bars all the time.
