I was thinking the exact same thing I really hope not, Margarito has not aged too well he might have won this fight but he didn't look that impressive his work-rate has dipped so much its really disturbing considering that's what defines him as a fighter.

He was defeated. Alvarez did subtle things and countered him and outsmarted him and at least one judge saw the difference. Margarito is done at the top levels, no revelation there.

You might have scored it for Ramon, there were many close rounds but you can't say he absolutely lost. I would've had it a draw if it wasn't for the KD.

Margarito looked like gargbage. Close fight he deserved the win but struggled and got his eye screwed up by a bum club fighter who was exhausted after 3 rounds. And still a dead tired weak fisted alvarez was able to hit margarito a ton. Against a real fighter margarito gets killed. Unless there is a cotto brother I don't know about maybe he can fight him next.
