Where do you rate Sergey Kovalev?

I save the A+ ranking for boxers that have victories over a couple of HOF fighters and at least one ATG.
If he beats Ward I will have him #2 p4p unless Chocolatito looks unimpressive in his next fight, in which case he jumps to #1 p4p.
If Kovalev beats the pimp and a more experienced Beterbiev he is easily the best light heavyweight since Roy Jones Jr.

Its hard to consider a guy that won his first world title at the age of 30 'A+' : Typically 'A+' that is reserved for fighters that been doing it since their younger days ; Im talking about a decade of dominance Multi-weight champion...you know that Chocolatito......dat Olympic Gold Medalist from da Yay Area -- S.O.G....and another thing beating young hungry lions is a measuring stick for the elite.....I mean hahaha ( had to pause laughing as I type this)....look B-Hop is just a name of Kovalevs resume and keeping it real his best win is Jean Pascal whos best days in the sport were in 2010-2011 at LHW with wins over a younger Bernard Hopkins and Lineal champion Chad Dawson.....so Im going to give Kovalev a solid B +.
Lastly Kovalev has been fighting the top of his division since 2013 but where was he in 2008? 2007? 2006? -- NOT EVEN A PRO.....a man....CHOCOLATITO ; TMT...SOG...you know what it is.

Sure it wasn't the same Hopkins who beat Pascal but anybody gets credit for beating him. He could still be top 5 if he fought today.

People should also take into consideration that he really earned everything the hard way and struggled for long with the political aspects of the game to become a successful pro in the US, for example. Earlier in his career he would hardly get paid for his efforts. He kept his head down and grinded on which is another testament to his succeeding from a tough background and displaying an often unparalleled level of determination and mental strength. He overcame tremendous adversity too in literally fighting through the in-ring death of an opponent, going on to fighting and defeating champions abroad, never afraid to travel. He's an A+ example of how to do great in life, against the odds. Solid amateur credentials to boot in terms of overall career achievements.

I see him as A-.
While I see many flagrant flaws in his game, I don't see many fighters at 175 beating him.
I think Beterbiev, Ward and eventually Gvozdzyk would beat him. I think Stevenson would beat him too.
Ward and Beterbiev are ahead of the pack in my opinion.
