  • Comments Thread For: Odlanier Solis Continues His Comeback on September 17

Cuban heavyweight Odlanier Solis (21-3) continues his comeback on September 17 in Goeppingen (Germany) and takes on Serbian Aleksandar Todorovic (7-9-1). Solis knocked out Milos Doveden (2-26) last week so Todorovic represent a step up in class for Solis, who has a lot work to do before he is back for real.

What a waste this guy is, he had so much potential.

I was wondering about him but then almost forgot about him thinking he'd just retired. He's 36 years old by now, I doubt he will make a legit comeback. Unless he underwent some mental metamorphosis and decided to take his career seriously at this late stage. I doubt it though, he probably just needs some paychecks.

The guy came in at a record low weight for him according to Box Rec for his last fight. I suspect Solis plans to make one last run at a big pay day.

Happy for him in this case. He is/was a very good talent. I thought he was potentially one of the best Vitali Klitschko opponents but we know how that fight went.

It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Solis' knee didn't blow out.

I have the fight... He looked flabby but yeah he was surprisingly down to 240. I never thought I would see that. It's a start but now he needs to get a few more rounds in then fight a couple journeymen. At 36 he doesn't have time to stay inactive or he will get fat & disappear again. Too be honest I thought his old promoter Oner was going to off him after the 2nd Thompson fight. That guy looks like a menace with his Turkish Hell Angel security he has for his cards.

Solis fought a guy with a 2-26 record for his first comeback fight? Lmao I understand you've gotta start easy, but that seems ridiculous.
