The distinction of course is that a boxer is trained to defend himself from attached he or she generally sees coming. Further you have a ref and a doctor ring side for your protection.

Riding a bike on the street one cannot defend or usually see a car coming from behind, that driver is drunk or texting or even day dreaming. Traffic only makes things worse.

When as the last time someone died in the ring. It's been a while. Last time someone died on a bike was when I started this response. Stats are telling.

I'm.l certain that bikes are a blast. So is skydiving. I'm sure smoking crack and having sex with **********s is a blast too. But I'm not going do any of those things. If I was 20 years younger I'd love to try my hand in the ring. But I'm 40 and I wouldn't do something so dumb either.

I have no Idea the why are you comparing this kid who has done nothing in boxing , who 3 fights ago fought a brazilian barber ranked #350 in the world . you should do a public apology to all the people who know about boxing.

Lol, omg I hope not. To cut a promising career short for trying to look cool? I don't really want to see that happen again. Hopefully the accident didn't affect his muscle's ability to respond. Otherwise, all that talent down the drain...& if that's the case, hopefully he has some skills to make it into broadcasting...right, J-Will?
