No she didn't. It was brought on the table by GYM to sort out the HBO "contractual" problem for Kovalev. What she did after though to cover her fail was much alike to what we have now...

Right and when Stevenson jumped ship signing with Al Haymon and went to showtime when he and Kovalev had a verbal agreement to fight I guess that was Duva's fault as well?

It did him good right ? 7 title defenses and a nice bank account...

As I said, Politics. You go where the money is and after it's not you holding the bridle anymore. I could go on with the Politics of Hopkins vs Stevenson or Ward vs Stevenson, but I guess Trolls would still think Stevenson had a word to say in it.

BTW there was no such "verbal agreement". There were talks for sure, but all went down when Kovalev resigned with HBO ( which could have been easily made after the unifying fight be it Kovalev actually winning), and we've been stuck ever since.

        Politics, always....

          As if.

Kov will spark that cherry picker clean out before the halfway mark.

And to the Ward idiots saying Duva keeps changing her stance - that's because your guy keeps waffling and acting unprofessionally, not showing up etc. HE is the one creating uncertainty, she's just reporting it duh.

Guy hasn't done anything for years, Kov is going to demolish that smug face very very easily.

Hey I hope Kovalev beats Andre Ward. But I bet for a living and all my sources in Vegas say all the big money will go with Ward to win the fight. Kovalev is to clumsy and awkward to catch Ward. Almost like Ali vs Foreman all over again. Vegas fights have terrible outcomes but bet the American this time. Ward on a decision.

Unless it's rigged, Kovalev wins. I am definitely not buying this "won't lay a glove on him" schtick. If Paul Smith can catch him, and Barerra and Brand can hit him, that Russian monster will hit him too.

Let's not underestimate Kovs boxing ability. Hopkins is a pretty slippy customer, and Kovalev landed all night. Chilemba is extremely slippy, and Kov landed all night. And Chilemba has a granite beard, Ward does not.

I'll stick with my own judgement, but thanks for the tip.

P.S. I agree that a lot of the money will be bet on Ward - cos he has been hyped to fook. He is ridiculously rated in P4P on the strength of wins over Kessler and Froch - and a severely severely drained Dawson. There are far more deserving fighters.

after Wlad threw the Fury fight and past screw jobs by judging in Vegas I see Kovalev getting the hammer by the judges. But Ward is a superior boxer and that will show. Ward on an easy decision as Kovie scratcheds his head and ponders what the hell just happened.
