he has some skill but his biggest advantage over his recent opponents has been the fact that he's outweighed them by 20 plus pounds. He won't have that advantage vs real middle weights which is why he hasn't fought one yet. All things even, he probably would've lost to cotto and khan.

He's a very good boxer, but not a great boxer. I didn't think he beat Trout (never saw the Lara fight) and Floyd put on a clinic against him. His clear wins were against fighters past their prime like Mosely, Angulo and Kirkland or smaller fighters like Josito Lopez and Khan.

People criticize GGG's opposition, but his wins over Lemeiux, Geale were when they were legit top 5 ranked fighters at 160 and wins over Macklin, Murray, Stevens, Rubio and Proksa were when they were legit top 10 ranked fighters. His resume isn't great, but its better than his naysayers would have you believe.

GGG's resume is actually very similar to Bhop's was at similar stages in their careers- Although their fighting styles are very different. Bhop won the IBF title at or around age 30 I believe and didn't fight any "top" opponents until he was around 36 when he fought Tito. No one said Bhop was "ducking" fighters who were campaigning at 168. Eventually, Bhop got the fights with Tito and de la Hoya and people recognized his greatness. If that was now, you'd have haters saying he beat fighters that moved up in weight and he should move to 168. ridiculous! fight at the weight you feel best at against the best opposition that you can get - That's what Bhop did, that's what Hagler, did, and that's what GGG does now.

Again, Canelo is a very good fighter, but what top 5-10 jr. middleweights has he clearly beaten to this point?
