I asked before whether 16 was too late to start boxing and the feedback was pretty positive for me so I'm preparing to go this week. Thing is, I'm a pretty nervous guy, and I have no idea what to expect when I walk in. Can anyone fill me in with what to expect? Also, I'm not really sure what to say when I walk in, do I ask if I can join or do I ask for for some one on one sessions because I'm basically a boxing ******? Are there any specific things that I need to know before I go too? I know how to do my handwraps etc already.
    Thanks.
First day well don't expect to much attention like your Floyd Mayweather, What you have to do is show up daily occasionally ask a coach can you show me how to throw a jab or a right hand, proper stance, remember proper stance is a 45 degree angle from that angle you can throw any punch if you don't know it just look at your tile at home the line of a tile is 45 degree have knees slightly bent and stick your butt out a little like you're going to do a squat keep chin down eyes up elbows tuck in. I'll give you some tips get against your wall and throw a punch turn the wrist at the end of the punch by doing this it helps you in throwing a straight punch the wall will keep your elbow from sticking out. Many kids when throwing a punch stick their elbow out as they punch this shortens your punch it's not straight and it becomes an arm punch. Practice pivoting so it teaches you to pivot when throwing rights and hooks and study films of great fighters also tie a rope and go under and over so that you learning how to bob and weave. Learn how to slip also when you slip you're leaning forward tat an angle just watch films of Mike Tyson and Kevin Rooney

Also watch lots of film, watch fighters with similar athleticism, build, reach, and height as you have.

I dont know your temperments but its also best to get the basics down and reptition.

I watch film all day just to keep my mind sharp
