      people need to realize this.
The bold is simply untrue. If a fighter starts at 122, they usually never see 147. And 140, may very well be their max. Not everyone is named Manny.

        of course it is.

most human beings walking around 147lbs are pacquiao, lomachenko's crawfords, porter height range.

the tommy hearn welters are the exceptions not the rule.

Porter started boxing around 160. Crawford turned pro at 130? I believe. Loma around 122. Pacman even less than that. And he's one of a fine few fighters to do that. Making him the exception, not the rule.

There are weight classes not height classes. And that's a fact.

            again,

most human beings walking around the planet as welterweights are around 5'6-5'8 height.

height is related to weight and vice versa.

            and that's a fact.

if you know what i mean...
Loma vs Rigo was a once in a lifetime fight that we lost because of pure greed, plain and simple.

Loma needs to fight Walters though. He can't let that fight slip away. They're both strong and fast at 130 too. It's ridiculous that the best fighters don't actually compete against each other in boxing because of money. In other sports, it's ASSUMED the best will compete against the best. In boxing, it's not even a guarantee, lol...

I think Loma beats Walters... but I dunno about Crawford... If Loma moves up to 140 and his power comes with him, and he proves he has a good chin... Then that's a different story... Because Crawford would have a hard time outpointing Loma with potshots and heavy movement.... He'd have to go for the KO.

But who are we kidding... Loma and Walters (BOTH under Top Rank)...fight can't get made... Crawford and Manny (BOTH under Top Rank)... fight doesn't get made... Let alone any of these guys fighting someone under Haymon... such a sad state of affairs...

and what about al haymon? he has all the fighters yet what's the best fight he's produced?

                thurman porter?

the reason why crawford pacquiao hasnt happened is the same reason why despite having all the fighters and taking over the sport aura he has garnered, the best al haymon could do is porter thurman.

there is a civil war and promoters are trying hold on to their business model and economic viability.

that means holding on to your "name" fighters and not putting Ls on them by making them fight fights FANS want.

I doubt it. Crawford is a big 140 pounder who might go to 147. Crawford is too big for him.

                      Again,

There are only weight classes. Not height classes. Mike Tyson was a 5-10 heavyweight and the Punisher was a 6-3 welterweight. Hell, the word weight is even in the name of "weight classes". Has there been fighters too tall or too short for 147? Heavyweight??

But there has been fighters too small for certain weight classes. It's pointless to try and pretend your comments make a valid argument when they don't.
